Diligence Security is seeking dependable, observant individuals who want to grow, learn new skills, and do work that requires judgment, communication, and compassion. This role is designed for those who are curious, adaptable, and open to developing a modern, human-centered approach to security in Tacoma, Lakewood, Puyallup, Bonney Lake, SumnerSeattle, AuburnKent, Renton, Bellevue, Federal Way, and other Western Washington locations.

Assignments may include healthcare environments, Events, Patrol, Emergency Coverage, Fire Watch, and Onsite Security. Much of the work involves interacting with people during stressful or vulnerable moments, where professionalism, empathy, and calm decision-making are essential.

10x the Industry Standard:
The Officer Integration Program (OIP)

We don’t just hire; we develop professionals. Our training is 10x the industry standard to ensure elite performance at healthcare facilities, industrial sites, and retail centers.

  • OIP 1 (Initial Training): 3 Full Days covering Legal/Professional foundations, Military-inspired tactical frameworks, and proficient professional communication standards.

  • Onboarding & Field Training: 2 Full Days of Situational analysis and Terrain awareness.

  • Site-Specific Training: 2–8 Hours (Tailored to each location).

  • End of Probation Training: 4 Hours of Handcuff and Pepper spray training.

  • OIP 2 (Advanced Training): 5+ Days exploring applied Psychology, Human behavior, Life management, and High-level communication.

  • Specialized Tracks: 4 Hours for Patrol Officer Training | 8 Hours for Supervisor Training.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $500 Sign-On Bonus: Awarded upon successful completion of the initial integration period and transition to active field duty.

  • Starting Pay: Competitive hourly pay during probation at $20.00/hour.

  • Post-Probation Increase: Hourly rate increases to $23.40/hour as a Security Officer.

  • Annual Growth: $1/hour raise for each additional year of service.

  • 401(k) Eligibility: Available starting at hire.

  • Paid Time Off: Sick pay (.015/hr) and Vacation pay (.025/hr post-probation).

No. We prioritize the Diligence Security traits: being Adaptable, Ethical, Dependable, and Diligent. We provide 10x the industry-standard training through our Officer Integration Program (OIP) to ensure you have the advanced communication and tactical skills required.

Q: What are the primary requirements for a Security Officer?

All Officers must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver license with an acceptable record, and have access to a legal, insured, registered, and reliable vehicle. Proficiency in speaking and writing English is required for precise documentation. Additionally, Officers must be able to lift or move up to 150 pounds occasionally.

Training begins with OIP 1, which consists of 3 full days of legal and professional foundations. This is followed by onboarding and field training before advancing to site-specific instruction and eventually OIP 2.

Q: Is training paid, and do I have to pay for my own credentials?

Yes, all training is paid. Diligence Security also covers the cost of your guard card, licensing, and any required certifications. We provide all necessary uniforms and equipment at no cost to the Officer.
